I want to know what is the mortgage lender’s responsibility in reporting acquisition indebtedness when the loan is refinanced and the borrower claims mortgage interest and points based on acquisition indebtedness. We know that the lender is required to report mortgage during the year it is paid. But what about refinancing, when a homeowner acquires a loan to improve the property. How does the lender validate the interest and point claimed on a return based on the loan taken out?

I am looking for a good value spinning reel for my kids (ages 4 and 6). Both have long since graduated from the “snoopy” rods and can use a spinning reel. I found a couple of short rods from Gander Mt. that are less than 5′ long and built for up to 10 lb test. I would like to pair them with a lightweight reel that won’t break my wallet if it goes overboard. I was thinking about the shimano Solstace or Sienna, or another similar brand. these will be used for everything from pond fishing to jetty spanish mackerel.

Also a 1 percenter – I worked hard and started with nothing except for college loans to re=pay, which I did before trying to buy a first home with a few percent down. Soon the increasing state, local and federal taxes will take away any incentive I have to grow my business and work harder. I am almost there now. And should I close up shop, as other 1 percenters might, other people lose jobs. You should think about that. Take away incentives to improve, and those that make the jobs and small businesses grow just go away…I am for anything that makes the system as whole more fair for all. The class warfare is utterly ridiculous. Pick whatever flat tax or graduated tax that seems more fair, the current system is not fair by any stretch of logic.

So very true. Many people ermunestidate the cost of repair or over-estimate their abilities when it comes to REO properties. REO’s are a great opportunity for the right buyer but a nightmare for everyone else. Great Post!
